3D scanning, ai enhanced depth measurements
Technical & artistic representation of point clouds
From Daghan Dizdaroglu

Advanced 3D scanning and CAD programs are used to model historical buildings and objects from measurements. By scanning buildings in Vienna, lofts, and public spaces with laser scanners, I generate precise point clouds that form the basis for modeling and creating plans and sections. I specialize in the design of loft extensions and restorations, enhancing and preserving architectural structures.

Beyond traditional applications, I manipulate point clouds in an artistic way using node-based programs such as Rhinoceros and Blender. This allows me to create digital artwork and animation, warping 3D data in real time to produce innovative compositions. My work extends beyond physical analysis, as I strive to uncover and envision digital urban layers hidden within liminal spaces. By documenting and modeling fine details in urban environments, I aim to not only analyze but also imagine these hidden layers. This holistic approach underscores my commitment to exploring the interplay between physical and digital realms, enriching the understanding and representation of urban spaces.
